SS Richard Montgomery Mast Reduction Project
The Department for Transport is procuring a contractor to cut down and remove the mast from SS Richard Montgomery, a protected wreck in the Thames Estuary. The work includes surveys, planning, provision of vessels and equipment, safe cutting and lifting of the mast, disposal or repurposing of materials, and environmental and UXO management.
