Balfour Beatty is seeking a subcontractor to design, fabricate, supply and install a glulam timber bridge superstructure for the Lower Thames Crossing Roads North infrastructure programme. Work includes collaboration with the designer (Arup), manufacturing to EN 14080 standards, and on-site installation with temporary works.

You'll want to look if you manufacture glulam beams to EN 14080 standards and have delivered large timber bridge structures, with capability for on-site installation and crane coordination.
You'll need
- EN 14080 glulam manufacturing capability (GL24h, Douglas Fir, PRF adhesive)
- Sourcing from FSC/PEFC certified sustainable timber suppliers
- BS EN 1090 compliance for associated steelwork
- CE/UKCA marking
- Proven experience in large-scale glulam or engineered timber bridges
- Technical competence in British and European standards
