Contracts
Construction & building works
Public sector contract notices in construction & building works, from Find a Tender and Contracts Finder.
Covers new build, extension, refurbishment, fit-out, demolition and civil engineering work: CPV division 45. Councils, housing associations, NHS trusts, schools and academy trusts, universities and central government departments all publish here, and so do the bodies that buy on their behalf.
Contracts range from a single roof or a play area up to a school or a hospital wing, so the useful question is rarely whether the work suits you but whether the contract shape does. Large programmes are often split into lots, which is what brings a job within reach of a firm that could not bid for the whole thing, and much of the repeat work is let through frameworks rather than advertised one job at a time. A framework tender is worth reading even when you do not want today's job, because it decides who is asked for the next several years of them.
