National Grid Electricity Transmission is establishing a five-year innovation framework with universities to support R&D projects aligned with energy transition and net zero goals. University partners will propose and execute projects at Technology Readiness Levels 2–8, from research through demonstration, and contribute to knowledge sharing across the energy sector.
