Source Attribution Studies to Understand Transmission Pathways and AMR Origins

FSA wants a supplier to perform whole genome sequencing and source attribution analysis on infectious intestinal disease samples from the IID3 study, to understand transmission pathways and antimicrobial resistance origins. The work involves bioinformatics analysis of existing datasets over a minimum 24 months with an optional 6-month extension.

You'll want to look if you have experience in microbial whole genome sequencing, bioinformatics analysis, and epidemiological source attribution studies, ideally with prior work on foodborne pathogens or infectious disease datasets.

University of Birmingham and University of York have recent FSA research contracts; Oxford University Innovation won the Genomic Data Platform contract in October 2025. Inferred from prior awards to this buyer, not confirmed.
