CEFAS26-115 ITT for a Small Autonomous Underwater Vehicle

Cefas wants to buy one small autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) equipped with biogeochemical sensors to collect water quality data autonomously in marine environments. The vehicle must weigh under 20 kg, be hand-deployable, operate to 250 m depth, and carry temperature, conductivity, oxygen, chlorophyll-a, and turbidity sensors to specified accuracy.

You'll want to look if you manufacture or integrate small autonomous underwater vehicles with environmental sensor packages, or you supply AUVs for scientific water quality monitoring.

  • Vehicle weight maximum 20 kg in air
  • Deployable by single person by hand
  • Operating depth 250 m
  • Sensors to specified accuracy for temperature, conductivity, oxygen, chlorophyll-a, turbidity
  • it needs coverage across the whole UK
