KBS Maritime needs a custom-built 5MVA rotary frequency converter to transform 11kV 50Hz power to 6.6kV 60Hz. The machine must be a synchronous motor-generator pair with mechanical coupling, adjustable generator stator, and integrated starting reactor and contactor.
