Gaseous Hydrogen Pressure Reduction Station

HSE needs a bespoke gaseous hydrogen pressure reduction station to step down supply from 500 barg to a controlled outlet of up to 100 barg at 20–400 g/s flow rate. The system must be fully instrumented with ATEX-rated pressure, temperature and mass flow sensors outputting analogue signals, built from stainless 316L pipework and fitted with appropriate flanges for their hydrogen test programme.

You'll want to look if you design and build bespoke pressure control systems or have expertise in hydrogen handling equipment and ATEX-compliant instrumentation.

  • ATEX rated instrumentation suitable for hydrogen
  • Stainless 316L steel construction
  • Sensors with 4–20 mA analogue outputs
  • Calibration details for instrumentation required

HSB Engineering Insurance Services won pressure systems consultancy for HSE in October 2025, but this is a manufacturing contract, not consultancy. Inferred from prior awards to this buyer, not confirmed.
