Dilution Refrigerator for Cryogenic Characterisation of RF Hardware

NPL needs a dry dilution refrigerator system for characterising quantum and RF hardware. The system must include 20+ coaxial lines (RF up to 40 GHz), thermometry, readout electronics, and DC biasing capability, with room to expand.

You'll want to look if you design and manufacture cryogenic dilution refrigerator systems with RF measurement capability, particularly for quantum hardware characterisation.

  • Dry pulse tube cooled dilution refrigerator
  • 20+ coaxial lines with 40 GHz capability
  • High attenuation input lines for quantum devices
  • Low-loss output lines for amplifiers
  • Sufficient DC lines for RF switch biasing

Onnes Technologies B.V. supplied a cryogenic nanopositioning system to NPL in March 2026. Inferred from prior awards to this buyer, not confirmed.
